Isurus and FULL SEND have booked spots at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas after finishing top two at the ESL LA League Season 3 event.
Held at the ESL Brazil studios, in São Paulo, the event featured just four teams, the top two sides of ESL LA League and the winners of two regional qualifiers, called "Northern Cone" and "Southern Cone".
The opening match of the tournament, featuring Argentinian duo Isurus and Furious, saw the series tied at 1-1 following two one-sided maps, with Luca "Luken" Nadotti raising eyebrows on Nuke with a 2.02 rating. The decider map, Overpass, was the most contested of the three and even went to overtime, in which Isurus came out victorious with a flawless 3-0 CT half.

The other match turned out to be a more straightforward affair as home side W7M were no match for FULL SEND, who feature the core of the Vault squad that competed in ESEA MDL North America. The Colombian side ran out 2-0 victors thanks to strong individual displays from Andres "spamzzy" Correa and Santiago "Daveeys" Galvis, booking their first-ever spot at an international LAN just two months after the team's creation.
There are now just two spots up for grabs in ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas, which will go to the winners of the closed qualifiers that will be held for teams from the northern and southern sub-regions of Latin America. These four qualified sides will join 12 other teams at the main event, which will be played entirely on LAN as ESL looks to tackle the issue of oversaturation of the scene.
The teams confirmed so far for ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas are the following:
